Intermediate Choir
(ages 7 - 12) Group size: 10 - 40
Eligibility
- Advance by invitation based on maturity and quality of performance in the Prep Choir.
Core Curriculum
- Extensive training in music literacy, vocal production, part-singing, choral music technique, movement, and stage presence.
Repertory
- More sophisticated literature is studied in many styles, time periods, cultures, and languages.
Performances
- 3 or more annually (including recitals). A short, close-to-home run-out introduces young singers to the joys and challenges of traveling with a performing ensemble.
Advancement
- Boys eight and older may audition for advancement into Performing Choir.
